Lucifer's Tongue

This flower is called Lucifer's Tongue, but my stepmother, who planted it, prefers to call it Lucy's Tongue. :)

Even the name is "deceiving". If you let the seed pods ripen on the stem, it continues to propagate itself until it takes over the while area.

I think you captured the red ! and It's such a beautiful flower but what an awful name !
I like Lucy's Tongue better too :-)
