My beloved uncle passed away Nov. 16, 2005, from a seven-week battle with liver cancer. This was our first Christmas without him. I caught this photo, as my daughter bowed her head for a prayer and silent reflection of our uncle's life, and death. I'm so, so thankful that I took photos that night. I wasn't going to, but did. Now, they mean so much to me. We all prayed that night, and thanked the Lord for my uncle, and for allowing us to all be together to celebrate Jesus' birth. Our family has always been extremely close and I was so thankful that we still were able to be with one another during Christmas. I hope your Christmas was wonderful, too. :)
