The mighty fierce Bluejay always keeping a look-out for our passive doves takes on Hawks, he will chase the hawk out of our yard back into the woods how is that for "looking out for ones neighbor" never liked jays untill I witnessed that kindness...He never comes into to our yard to eat seed just to chase hawks!
