In the 70's, using both commercial and hand screen-printed textiles, I created wearable art clothing - vests, kimonos, costumes - and wall hangings. Most of these were embellished and freeform quilted at completion. Now, there is a sense of coming back around to my fabric roots as single or multiple photographs inspire a created 'fabric' and are then developed into blocks - a traditional quilt technique. The assembled blocks form an overall pattern - either as a single unit or in segments hung adjacent to one another.
