This Trumpeter Swan was seen intermittently in the Fort Collins area since at least Dec 12, 2007 when it arrived at College Lake (west of Fort Collins) where it stayed for 1 week. Later it was photographed north of Fort Collins, and the photo appeared on the front page of the local newspaper, the Coloradoan. Rachel Hopper photographed it in a corn field northeast of the city on Jan 15 ( https://pbase.com/cfo/image/92160627). On Jan 26, Eric DeFonso relocated it southeast of Fort Collins on Ziegler Rd, south of the Environmental Learning Center.
