"Traill's" Flycatcher, eastern Colorado 15 June 2010
This apparent "Traill's" Flycatcher was silent at Crow Valley campground, an eastern Colorado migrant trap in the Pawnee National Grasslands (Weld County), on 15 June 2010. It is either an "eastern" Willow Flycatcher (Empidonax traillii) or an Alder Flycatcher (E. alnorum). Either would be very rare in Colorado. Can it be identified based on plumage, bill size, or some other characteristic?
