Southeast Colorado Weekend, 8-11 May 2015 (Quetzal Tours)
Five of us ventured to the famed southeast corner of Colorado to enjoy the best in spring bird migration that the state has to offer. We were not disappointed, identifying 175 species in a variety of weather conditions. It was a cold 4-day weekend, dipping to 33 deg F, and it actually snowed Monday morning in Lamar. For me, the best bird of the trip was a female Scott's Oriole at Hasty Campground.
