This rare bird (from Texas) posed near the roadway in Timnath, Colorado in eastern Larimer County. There have been several reported in Colorado this summer. On page 2, I show a photo of 2 other possible Neotropic Cormorants from 13 Aug 2009 a few miles from Timnath. The larger Cormorant shown is the Double-crested Cormorant, a common breeder in Colorado.
