This gallery features birds observed during the 13th annual Loveland Christmas Bird Count in Loveland, Larimer County, Colorado (USA).

Summary: About 50 observers counted 92 species on Tuesday Jan 1 for the Loveland CBC (previous high species total was 100). New birds for the count were Northern Saw-whet Owl, Pine Warbler and White-throated Sparrow. Six additional species have been recorded for Count Week: Tundra Swan, Greater White-fronted Goose, Wood Duck, Greater Scaup, Common Loon, Yellow-rumped Warbler. The Loveland CBC is a project of the National Audubon Society and the Fort Collins Audubon Society. Thanks go to all the volunteer participants, the Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch (for hosting the compilation), Quetzal Tours (for pizza and drinks), and the Larimer County Natural Resources Department and the City of Loveland for permitting access to restricted properties).

Photos of 4 possible Hoary Redpolls (Acanthis hornemanni) from Jan. 2, 2013 are included as "Redpoll sp." as they were not accepted by the CBC regional editor as Hoary Redpoll, which would have been a new species for the Loveland CBC, during count week.
