Very few Glossy Ibis records exist in Colorado in midsummer (July). This apparent Glossy Ibis was photographed on 3 July 2009 near LaSalle, Weld County, Colorado. One previous July record (Huerfano County) is reported in Colorado Birds (1992), but there may be other more recent reports. Is this a pure-bred Glossy Ibis or could it be a hybrid with the locally breeding White-faced Ibis? Comments welcome (please identify yourself).
