Gulls at Horseshoe Lake, 18 April 2014

Horseshoe Lake in Loveland (Larimer County) Colorado is a gull hotspot, especially when the water level is low. This spring continues to be a good season for gulls. These photos were digiscoped at dusk and lightened electronically. Among 315 California Gulls loafing here, and 40 pink-breasted adult Franklin's Gulls, and 20 Ring-billed Gulls, there were 5 Herring Gulls (3 are shown in the photos), 2 Thayer's Gulls (1 photographed) and a young Mew Gull.
