I visited El Salvador with my family 23-29 November 2008. Weather was cool and dry. The galleries below represent birds photographed in 1. the residential neighborhood where we stayed (Zacamil, in suburban San Salvador, 750 m ASL), at 2. the El Boqueron Crater on the Volcan San Salvador (1800 m), at 3. the Cerro Verde Turicentro, a remnant cloud forest in the Department of Sonsonate, at 4. El Imposible National Park in the Department of Ahuachapan (700 - 1200 m) and 5. on the coast in the Department of Sonsonate. We tallied about 150 species of birds.
