This 100 year old photo album was missing for several years and turned up recently. It is 96 pages of remarkable photos of the Silverness, Finden and Esterson familes in Minnesota around 1912-1919. There are blank pages and missing photographs, but the album is in very good shape.
The album is centered around Mabel Dorthea Silverness, who married Nils Esterson. They had two children, Ionne Esterson Martin and Nels Esterson. The photos show a woman full of grace, adventure and humor. Sadly, Mabel passed away in 1919 at the age of 24, a victim of the 1918 flu pandemic that killed 50-130 million people world-wide (3% of the world's population).
This gallery is divided into two sub-gallaries, one containing the original album pages and the other with individual photos from those pages. Comments written on the album pages have mostly been made by Ionne Martin.
