Lots of air traffic between Sacramento and Reno.......
The bright trail is, of course, the moon in a minor phase. At the end of the exposure I put a cokin star filter over the lens for 30 seconds or so for that effect. The small interuptions in the star trails are likely due to a few high level clouds passing. Possibly a brief meteor in the upper center.

Note the curvature of the star trails at the lower right and upper left...a clear sign that the camera is pointed South.....or North, now that I think of it. Never been in the Southern Hemisphere, actually.

I wonder if this tree has 'moved on'.
