The Silver Fire on the Plumas NF is about 6 miles NE of Buck's Lake, about 8 miles W of Quincy, and a mile or two west of the small community of Meadow Valley. At 1600 hrs, it was reported as 100 acres, with extensive spotting, and sounds like they're going to order up a Type 2 team.
It's about 25 miles NW of this lookout...also you can see Mt. Lassen (68 miles) in the background.
