Now on this one unlike the previous focus I seem to have gotten lucky and nailed the focus even though I was shooting wide opne (f2.8). As you can see the eye is pretty sharp but it all goes (gorgeously) to much from there.

BTW - since I hand hold 99% of the time when I shoot macro, the way I focus is to set the lens on manual at a distance that frames the subject correctly and then still my body as much as possible and focus but shifting myself ever so slightly forwards and backwards.
