On a boat trip on a moonless night (to see a "bioluminescent" bay). The boat had one small light and the rest came from the buildings around the harbor.
I wanted the keep the feeling of darkness, but still have enough detail to make it interesting. Let me know what you think.
PS - I think that this is one of those photos that looks much better viewed on a standard Mac than a standard PC because of the lower gamma setting - which allows for more of the tonal subtleties to be seen.
