You're right of course about so little water. A few reasons... 1) it was the tail end of the eruption and 2) the moonlight (behind me) was obscured by clouds for part of the eruption, so the plume was not as visible as it could have been. Sadly I was way too cold and tired to make another go at a later eruption.
