Out in the middle of nowhere between Alturas and Susanville California is a ranch/resort called Spanish Springs. They have a web site at www.spanishspringsresort.com, but they just opened up after being closed for 4 years. It was a cloudy day when we stopped to have a peek, but we really want to go back a spend a couple nights. Next time I'll take a few more pictures -- it's in a beautiful high-desert region...
