Taughannock Falls State Park and Taughannock Point
We spent our day at Robert Treman and Buttermilk Falls State Parks and finished off our day at Taughannock Falls State Park. Taughannock Falls is a free falling 215 tall waterfall in a large rock amphitheater. Both the falls and its setting are dramatic and beautiful. The park is located on the west side of Cayuga Lake and we saw the falls two ways: an overlook from the Park Road and the one mile Gorge Trail to the base of the falls. After visiting the falls we crossed the road to walk around Taughannock Point at sunset and skip rocks on Cayuga Lake.
