Day 3: Bremer Hut to Nuernburger Hut

After our long, intense hike the day before from Innsbrucker Hut to Bremer Hut, we were looking forward to an easier day. We still had some steep ascents and descents with via ferrata sections, but overall the guide book listed this hike as four hours long (5km/3 miles and 500m/1640 ft ascent). We arrived at Nuernburger Hut in time for lunch (which was delicious) and had a leisurely afternoon at the hut. Or at least Norah and I did. Steve went for a hike up Gams Spitzl from the hut. I'm glad we enjoyed our stay here because as it turned out, it was our last night in the mountains in Austria.
