We had more coastal fun on Saturday with a visit to Monterey Bay Aquarium and the 17-Mile Drive. We got an early start to avoid traffic and to give ourselves plenty of time to get a parking spot and into the aquarium when it opened (which I’m glad we did because when we left in the early afternoon the line was even longer). We spent several hours at the aquarium and really enjoyed ourselves - especially the otters, kelp forest, and jellyfish. We had lunch at First Awakenings and did the 17-Mile Drive at Pebble Beach. It was such a pretty drive and we stopped several times to take in the views, check out the tide pools, look for seals, and see the sights such as Bird Rock or the Lone Cypress. We continued to Carmel to drive the Scenic Road and see the amazing houses and cottages along the coast. After that it was back to San Jose and we had dinner at Sauced BBQ on Santana Row. Tim was a terrific tour guide and we had a great day!
