During the summer Norah and I spent a week visiting my parents in western Nebraska. We flew into Denver and of course had to stop at Carhenge on our drive to Nebraska. We had a nice week visiting, relaxing, and catching up with friends. Norah went swimming with friends, made rhubarb crunch with Grandma, rode the Zipper at the carnival and went fishing with Grandpa, and on most days went to coffee with Grandpa and the guys downtown. After some rousing games of Pictionary last year, we had to play at least one game this year, but spent most of our game time on Mexican Train Dominos and Sequence. A highlight of the week was our day trip to the Hudson-Meng Bison Kill Site, lunch at High Plains Homestead, and a short hike at Toadstool Park. This area of the state is scenic and interesting - we had a terrific day. After a great week Norah and I headed back to Denver. On the way we had tasty treats at La Michoacana Ice Cream Parlor in Fort Morgan and Norah did her first Escape Room in Denver. Fun summer trip!
