Normally we would travel to be with family over the holidays or vice versa, but we all know what kind of year 2020 was. So an unconventional year called for an unconventional holiday and we instead celebrated Christmas in Moab. We have been to Moab several times and for this trip we planned to revisit some favorite spots and explore some new ones. Unfortunately, we were not able to hike to Druid Arch in the Needles District of Canyonlands. We planned to do this hike on our drive home, but we woke to snow and slippery roads in Moab and figured the prudent thing was to head home. Next time!

Notes: We enjoyed our stay at Aarchway Inn, meals from Bangkok House Too and The Blu Pig, and browsing the art from local artists at Gallery Moab. The majority of the trails were clear for our stay (we did encounter a little bit of snow on the Fischer Towers hike) and the temperatures were in the high 30s during the day. I expect because it was a holiday there were more people than there would normally be during winter, but we never had problems with parking or crowding on the trail.
