We opted to extend our hike to Upper Consolation Lake. There are a lot of boulders and rocks to navigate and found that it was easier if we stuck closer to the shoreline. At the end of the lower lake we climbed over a ridge of rock debris separating the two lakes. There are glaciers above the lake and when we heard the rumbling we looked up to see pieces falling.
