Given the cloudy skies we kept today's hike simple. We opted for Consolation Lakes and went to the trailhead at Moraine Lake. We easily joined other hikers heading that way. It's an easy hike (more of a walk really): 2.9 km/1.8 miles with 65 m/215 ft elevation gain to Lower Consolation Lake.
