After the gully we came to a small pond that marked the outlet of Lake 10,813. Finally! But we weren't done yet. We rock hopped up the outlet to the lake (good thing water was low!) and found the shoreline pretty steep, so we had to continue along the lake to find a flat spot for a campsite. Even though the miles were low, it was a long day since it was mostly off trail. As we searched for a campsite Norah listed all her grievances (tired legs, hungry, the worst day ever!), but this was all quickly forgotten once we found a fantastic site and got settled. We beat the rain and spent some time in the tent reading, playing "Argh", and creating mazes, word searches, and crossword puzzles.
