Prior to the pass we had seen only one other hiker in the distance at Wall Lake. We were a little surprised to see a group of hikers at the pass (although they were probably more surprised to see Norah!). We had actually seen this group on our first day hiking in and we stopped to chat for a bit. The pass had a large, flat grassy area that made a nice break spot.
