We also saw a lot of elk at Mammoth Springs. I had read they often hang out here, but this was the first time we'd actually seen elk in this area. There were quite a few moms and babies hanging out on the grass by the visitor center. They had rangers stationed to keep people away from the elk and the ranger told us there was a large buck down the road by the chapel.
