We had over 250 miles to drive this day from Cooke City to the Wind River Range, so opted for only one brief stop in Yellowstone. We did the one mile walk through the Mud Volcano area. One of the prominent features here is Dragon's Mouth Spring. Water moving within the deep cavern makes a loud thumping noise, although the activity here has diminished in recent years so it was a little subdued sounding for a dragon.
