On our last day in the Beartooths Steve did another long run while I had lunch with a friend. From Steve:

My last trail run was a 26 Lake circuit beginning and ending at Island Lake. I am not even going to try to guess which lakes are which in the pictures, things are fuzzy for me on that.

I rank this as one of the finest runs I have ever done. Twenty six lakes, mostly off-trail, mostly above treeline. It was pretty gnarly, but incredibly scenic.

The route, roughly, was Island Lake to Albino Lake to Jasper/Golden, to Cloverleafs, to Triskele, to Donelson, to Maryotte, to Crystal Lake, to Castle Lake, to Green Lake, to Native Lake, to Beartooth Lake, and back to Island Lake. Whew!
