While Steve was running, the rest of us took a leisurely drive through the Sunlight Basin to Cody. The basin is beautiful, but visibility was severely hampered by the smoke. We did get a good laugh though at the free range cows that were loitering at the very steep sections.

When we got to Cody we went west out of town to the Buffalo Bill Dam and Visitor Center. After taking a look at the dam and exhibits we continued on to the reservoir in Buffalo Bill State Park. We checked out the different picnic areas, had lunch, played some games, then backtracked to one of the main areas to let Norah play in the water for awhile.
