Grandpa came prepared with fishing treats stashed in his fishing vest. And this year we could actually lounge around without being bombarded by hundreds of mosquitoes (last year the bugs were brutal!). I suppose that's one advantage to a dry season and visiting a few weeks later in August (although we missed out on a lot of the wildflowers) - no bugs!
