I ran the jeep road up to Goose Lake, but the altitude was definitely slowing me down a little bit. I met a few other early birds on the trail and dispatched the six mile jeep road in a little over an hour. In this picture taken from Goose Lake you can see Wolf Mountain, the objective for the day. Wolf Mountain is slanting upward left to right almost center of the picture. I had some good wildlife sightings on the ascent: a bald eagle, moose, and elk.
