Steve had climbed Beartooth Butte on a previous trip and this time we made it about 60% of the way up. We took a long break to take in the views and watch a hawk soaring around, then retraced our steps back to the car. Short hike, but perfect for acclimating us sea level dwellers (Beartooth Lake is around 9,000 feet) and a nice way to kick off our vacation!
