After an uneventful travel day from New York to Billings on Friday, our vacation officially started on Saturday when we took off for the Beartooth Mountains. We drove the scenic Beartooth Highway through Red Lodge to Cooke City. This is one of the most scenic highways in America and it tops out at nearly 11,000 feet at Beartooth Pass. At the pass we spotted this mountain goat and stopped to watch him for a bit. He was unfazed by his audience and continued to graze without blinking an eye.
