Up to this point the trail switchbacked through wooded slopes and we could usually tell where the trail went. But here it was a bit harder to tell. The trail markers were on rocks which were covered by snow - a few times we did resort to brushing snow off rocks to try to get an indication of trail direction. Luckily there were a few trail signs and with the help of the map we were able to navigate through the snow.
