Merriam Peak was without question the more exciting of the two scrambles. If you stay true to the north ridge line you have very solid rock, which makes for a very aesthetic ascent of Merriam Peak. This is a picture of Brad on the ridge line with Royce Lakes No. 3 and No. 2 in the background.
