The Nublet/Nub Peak is supposed to be one of, if not THE, premiere hike in the park. So we were excited to do the hike on our first day. We reached Nub Ridge and then the Nublet in short time and decided to go ahead up Nub Peak. Although the book says the defined trail ends on the Nublet, there is essentially a trail that leads up to Nub Peak. For such a short/easier hike, the views are just amazing. Unfortunately the hazy conditions (smoke from wild fires in the west) made picture taking nearly impossible. But Steve would return the next day in better light conditions to get some fantastic pictures.
