Outside of Bridgeport, Courthouse and Jail Rock rise 400 feet above the North Platte valley. Along with Scott's Bluff and Chimney Rock, they were prominent landmarks along the Oregon Trail. We made a short stop here on the drive from Denver to Gordon.
