We knew better weather was on the way, and New Year's Eve was supposed to be perfect weather. We set ambitious goals with this day by heading up Gothics Peak, a round trip hike of approximately 13 miles. It turned out that the weather was indeed perfect, and the snowshoeing conditions were excellent. The air was crisp and clear, and it was a fantastic day in the mountains.
