Glacier National Park 2003

In August 2003, my friend Brad and I spent 2 weeks in the backcountry of Glacier National Park. We traversed the entirity of the park in 180 miles. We saw moose, grizzly bears, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and many smaller mammals along the way. We bagged 2 peaks, Flinsch and Boulder Peak, dined on fresh trout, saw the milky way 12 nights, and had a blast! What follows are photos taken along our route.

I worked for Montana Conservation Corp in the summer of 2001, and Park Creek and Upper Park Creek is one one of the trails we worked on. Even though I am in the Navy now and I have seen many places, Lake Isabel is still my all time favorite place in this world. Seeing these photos brings back good memories. Steven, Nice work! Your trip last summer looked like it was a blast and I'm envious. I've traveled across much of Glacier myself, but that was too long ago so now after seeing your great shots I'm itching to get back to the area again. Thanks for posting your images. Bryan - Portland, Oregon
