Day 3 - Locatelli to Vallandro

As much as we loved Locatelli, it was time to continue on our hike. We had one last beautiful sunrise then were on our way to Rifugio Vallandro. We descended to Pian da Rin below Tre Cime, then hiked through two valleys (Valle di Rinbon and Valle della Rienza) to Hotel Cime di Lavaredo (1406 m, just down the road down from Dobbiaco). From there we had a 634m ascent (~2100 feet) around Mount Specie to Rifugio Vallandro (2040m). Along with terrific views, Rifugio Vallandro was the nicest rifugio in which we stayed.
