Pictures from a visit to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze at the Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson. From the Historic Hudson Valley website:
"After selling out totally in 2006, the Hudson Valley’s most exciting Halloween event is expanding to 19 nights featuring more than 4,000 individually hand-carved, illuminated pumpkins! Visitors meander through a woodsy, darkened, riverside landscape and discover a breathtaking, artistic display of abstract designs, ghosts, fish, mushrooms, clowns, animals, snakes, spider webs, and dinosaurs…all made of pumpkins!"
If you have a chance to visit, it's highly recommended. It's an awesome display of jack o'lanterns!
As a side note to those with cameras, tripods aren't allowed, so bring your steady hand and fast lens!
