Around Moab

Arches and Canyonlands National Parks might be the premier attractions, but beautiful scenery abounds everywhere around Moab. We traveled to Moab from Denver and drove in on scenic highway 128. This scenic byway passes by valleys and winds through the Colorado River gorge amid stunning rocks and views. A lot of beautiful scenery on this drive and we pulled over to get a better look at The Priest and Nuns. A perfect welcome to Moab!

On Wednesday after sunrise in Arches and breakfast at the Jailhouse Cafe, we did the easy three mile round trip hike to Corona Arch off of Potash Road. Corona Arch is partially free standing and has an opening of 140 feet x 105 feet. It's a spectacular arch! We also saw Bowtie Arch (a pothole arch) and views of Bootlegger Canyon.
