Built in the 13th century by the will of the Blessed Bartholomew of Breganze, bishop of Vicenza, to preserve one of the thorns from Christ's crown, by the Dominicans after the death of Ezzelino III da Romano. It is one of the oldest and most important churches of the city, with paintings by Montagna (The Magdelene), Bellini (Baptism of Christ) and others; the crypt hosts the Valmarana chapel by Palladio.
