The small Chigi Chapel (or Cappella della Madonna del Voto) is situated in the right transept. It is the last, most luxurious sculptural addition to the Duomo, and was commissioned in 1659 by the Sienese Chigi pope Alexander VII.
At the back of the chapel is the Madonna del Voto (by a follower of Guido da Siena, 13th century).
