The sunsets have been spectacularly orange for the last little while (a few weeks ago, they were more pink). Apparently, orange and red are colours of cleaner air (see here). Interestingly, the red comes because the blue is scattered first leaving more red light, but when I am doing underwater photography, it is the opposite: the red is absorbed first.... Physics is cool.
