River rock.

Composition doesn't get much simpler than this: it's a rock for goodness sake! And a small one at that -- really more of a pebble. The right light makes all the difference.

I was thinking some type of baked good! You're right, the lighting is excellent for this display , and the texture of whatever it's sitting on works really well too. Nice image! v
