Sabile is a small and rather decrepit town in central Kurzeme. Nearby, in the village of Pedvale there is an interesting open air art exhibition established and maintained by Latvian sculptor Ojars Feldbergs. Sabile itself boasts a small vineyard that exists already since 17th century. The recently restored sinagogue is nice, especially looking from Abava river that runs throught the town, it is a popular boating route.
